RED FM launches Azaadi Ka Laddoo

MUMBAI: India’s largest radio network, RED FM, has initiated a symbolic campaign Azaadi Ka Laddoo for Independence Day.

Independence Day is a day that marks the common man’s victory. Yet, there is a question raised today –  is it really the victory it promised to be?  This paradox is a part of every Indian’s existence that inspired RED FM come up with yet another provocative entertaining piece that is reflective of this reality that India faces.

The ‘Azaadi Ka Laddoo’ is the symbol of this dilemma for the current generation to the oldest! The campaign is inspired by the ‘Laddoo’ that was handed to each one of us in school after the official independence day celebrations meant as a sweet offering to mark this historical event. In today’s scenario this ‘Laddoo’ takes on a completely different meaning – it’s reflective of the many empty promises made by our leaders and the ‘Laddoo’ is the only thing remaining in the hands of the common man. The campaign is designed to awaken the common man and tell him – yes we are an free country; but are the daily choices we make, the quality of life we lead; truly free or a force of circumstance in the wake of corruption, irresponsibility and lack of law and order?
