Radio Misty partners with career counselling mega event

MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 FM, The First and Number One FM station of North Bengal and Sikkim partnered with Annual Career Counselling Mega Event Organised at Siliguri.

Hundreds of students in this counselling programme appeared interested in exploring media, hospitality, and retail management as their careers and job options in the armed forces and abroad also received a number of queries. This event was organised by Annamalai University, Flying Cats Academy and Global Retail School The four-hour long interactive session had a theme: nation building for the future generation.

Sixteen panellists from media, management, tourism, hospitality, information technology, civil services, health, and armed forces threw lights on various career options in the job market. The emphasis was on communicative skills, inter-personal relationships and creativity.

Among the experts were  noted film-maker Raja Sen., former executive director of Sikkim Tourism P.K. Dong, Flying Officer Tanya Shekhar, director of recruitment for north Bengal and Sikkim in the army Col C.K. Sood,Subdivisional officer of Siliguri Sharad Dwivedi,Additional s.p. of police Gaurav Sharma. Darjeeling District magistrate Surendra Gupta and police Chief Rahul Srivastava were also present.

Deep Prakash Mukhia, a student from Darjeeling, was happy to be present. This has been an enriching experience for me. We need some more sessions like this,... he said.

Says Radio Misty Chief Executive Officer Nishant Mittal this event was a great experience for us. We are looking forward for more events on career counselling which will help students of this region a lot. Radio Misty will start a career helpline for students   so they can get counselling online.
