Radio Misty to celebrate Durga Puja with fun and Music

MUMBAI: The first and a Number one fm station of North Bengal and Sikkim Radio Misty 94.3 fm will celebrate Durga puja with fun and music. There will be series of programmes and promotions to celebrate the festival with their listeners. Radio Misty teams is making trips to puja pandals with lot of contests or to get the vibe of the festive spirit.

Radio Misty have partnered with a puja gathering called pujar thek on four days from 25 th September to 28 th September of puja celebrations. This gathering will see daily cultural shows including sitar recital, baul performace, Bangla Band and shows by local folk artistes. Radio Misty will be present on the occasion with live feed on air. Radio Misty started its celebrations with a high-powered on-air musical welcoming Goddess Durga on Mahalaya. The show ends with the legendary Birendra Krishna Bhadra chanting the Mahalaya Strotras.

For listeners a contest is on air where attractive gifts are on offer. This contest is getting huge response from listeners. A special show is aired daily which will follow the festival right from the initial stages to the idol immersion. It will cover committee meetings, interviews with puja organizers, idol makers and priests and others.

While the on-air show �Misty Pujo Parikrama' will feature best pujas in all towns of North Bengal. Celebrity RJ will be having live studios at this pandals and live shows will be on air from there. Live updates on crowd at different pandals will be aired.

Radio Misty has also has alliances with best pandals of north Bengal and will broadcast live from these places. Misty Yadein will feature celebrities and VIPs of north Bengal, Where they will recall their childhood memories of the and puja they celebrated the festival in those days.

Immersion will be taken live from all towns where RJ will be stationed. Radio Misty will have their phones lines and sms service open for 24 hours where listeners' can send their wishes. Senior police officials will be live at Misty studios speaking on traffic movement and necessary arrangements on puja. Radio Misty has always been associated with people of North Bengal not only through music, but also through its spirit of spreading happiness in different ways.
