MUMBAI: The first and a Number one fm station of North Bengal and Sikkim Radio Misty 94.3 fm will celebrate Durga puja with fun and music. There will be series of programmes and promotions to celebrate the festival with their listeners. Radio Misty teams is making trips to puja pandals with lot of contests or to get the vibe of the festive spirit.

Radio Misty have partnered with a puja gathering called pujar thek on four days from 25 th September to 28 th September of puja celebrations. This gathering will see daily cultural shows including sitar recital, baul performace, Bangla Band and shows by local folk artistes. Radio Misty will be present on the occasion with live feed on air. Radio Misty started its celebrations with a high-powered on-air musical welcoming Goddess Durga on Mahalaya. The show ends with the legendary Birendra Krishna Bhadra chanting the Mahalaya Strotras.

For listeners a contest is on air where attractive gifts are on offer. This contest is getting huge response from listeners. A special show is aired daily which will follow the festival right from the initial stages to the idol immersion.
