Radio Mirchi emerges as the No.1 Private FM Network in the country in IRS, Round 1, 2009

MUMBAI: The Indian Readership Survey results are out and Radio Mirchi has emerged as the clear leader with a listenership of over 2 crores. Radio Mirchi's last week listenership is more than twice the listenership of its nearest competitor. Radio Mirchi thus delivers the largest audiences to its advertisers across the best (based on Market potential values) cities in the country. The results are proof of the sheer dominance of Radio Mirchi in the Radio space.

Radio Mirchi is the Number One station in 11 of the top 15 towns graded by population; in the 32 markets Mirchi is present in, its listenership is MORE than the combined listenership of the next 2 largest network players combined.

Mirchi literally rules the metros with a lead of 35% over the next competitor in Delhi, 27% in Mumbai, 46% in Kolkata and 21% in Hyderabad.

Radio has become an essential medium to cater to the regional markets because of its tremendous reach and coverage  As per the IRS report, in addition to being an overall leader, Radio Mirchi also dominates the Hindi speaking markets of North, West and East.
