Radio Mirchi celebrates Dasara Bombe Habba - Toy festival

MUMBAI: Mysooru Dasara eshodu sundara – the song number aptly signifies the pomp and glory of Dasara celebrations in Karnataka.

Representing the excitement & festivity, Radio Mirchi brings the joy of �Bombe Habba' - the much revered festival of kids during Dasara. Mirroring the culture & tradition of the city, Radio Mirchi has urged the citizens of Bengaluru to contribute toys/dolls that will be collected, displayed and thereafter donate the same to the underprivilged kids of an NGO post the celebrations.

Bombe Habba is traditionally celebrated by arranging dolls and toys in a rack consisting of 9 steps indicating the Navarathri or 9 days of celebrations. Adding a Mirchi twist to the event, Radio Mirchi hopes to make the biggest ever dolls/toys arrangement by erecting a 30 foot rack at Garuda Mall. All kids, aunties, & uncles are requested to make their Bombe (doll) contributions starting from September 10th to 19th, 2009. Contributors/ donors can call / SMS on 58888or log on to Radio Mirchi & place requests to enable pick ups of their toy contributions. Contributions can also be dropped at Radio Mirchi office or just call the DTDC hotline 25544127 and they will ensure that it is picked up.
