Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM crowns this Dussehra - 'Dilli ke Ram aur Ravan'

MUMBAI: With the festive season in full swing, Radio Mirchi, India's hottest Radio station gears up to celebrate Dusshera with its listeners in a unique and dramatic Mirchi style. Specially crafted for the occasion, Radio Mirchi has announced its Dusshera special initiative - the hunt for 'Dilli ke Ram and Dilli ke Ravan'

Aimed at spreading the message of doing good deeds and making Delhi a better place to live in for all its citizens, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, will crown people as Ram's and Ravans. Armed with the respective Mukuts and certificates of RAM or RAAVAN, Radio Mirchi teams will travel across Delhi and will identify people who are doing good or bad things and then will accordingly reward them with the crown.

To participate in the RAM selection procedure, listeners will have to call up the Radio Mirchi station and nominate themselves for the RAM category. The short listed candidates will be randomly selected and will get an exclusive opportunity to go on air and receive the recognition of RAM OF THE YEAR. Whereas to locate the Raavans, Radio Mirchi RJ's will catch people on ground who are a menace and creating problems and these will be crowned as Raavans.

To enhance the on–air experience and to give minute–by–minute updates to all its listeners, the Radio Mirchi brigade, on the move, will keep an alert eye to catch people urinating on public roads, jumping red lights, constantly honking, dirtying their areas with garbage and crown them as the Rawans of the year.

'Dilli ke Ram' will win a good character certificate and 'Dilli ke Rawan' will be crowned with a ten-headed mukut.

Sharing his thoughts on the initiative Srinivasa Shenoy, Cluster Head, Radio Mirchi, said, "Radio Mirchi has always been associated with its listeners not only through music but also through its spirit of spreading happiness in different ways. This Dussehra, we thought of adding to the festive spirit by announcing this unique initiative and making this occasion a memorable experience for Delhiites. We are confident that our initiative will help Delhiites to become more conscious and work towards making the capital a cleaner place to live in."
