Radio City plans Women's Day celebrations across India

MUMBAI: Radio City says ‘we care for you’ to women across the country, with exciting activities lined up this Women’s Day. Be it Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi – Radio City is taking all efforts to ensure a very special Women’s Day for its listeners. This Women’s Day marks the return of popular Radio City show ‘Maya’ on PlanetRadiocity.com.

Radio City is all set to gift some ‘quality free time’ to women in Delhi this Women’s day. In a most unique initiative, Radio City RJs will visit some households and help women with their daily chores to set them free. Be it making breakfast, getting the children ready for school, iron clothes or making lunch or dinner, our RJs will do it all for the women in Delhi, on the 8th of March. The registration started on the 4th of March, when the listeners were asked to register by sending an SMS to Radio City. The shortlisted lucky ones get to spend an unforgettable leisure day with our RJs this Women’s day.

In Mumbai, RJ Palak and RJ Sucharita of ‘Mumbai Masala’ celebrate the spirit of womanhood, giving women achievers across the city a chance to speak about their awesome journey.

In Radio City Hyderabad, RJ Suneeta of ‘Ladies.com’ and RJ Priyanka of ‘Tollywood Sitara’ will be interacting with working women across the city, in their respective shows, on Women’s Day. The celebrations will climax on Women’s day with famous Tollywood celebrities Tapsee and Lakshmi Manchu hosting shows all day long on Radio City.

In Chennai, ladies from all over the city can take a time-out at ‘Shakthi Sangamam’, a ‘Women Special’ carnival organised by Radio City on the 8th of March. Myriads of activities at ‘Shakthi Sangamam’ like dancing, singing, antakshari, dumb charades, art and quizzes amongst others, will make sure women in Chennai have a rocking Women’s day.

PlanetRadiocity.com, India’s first web radio portal, kicked off the celebrations with ‘Maya’, a show dedicated to women, which started on the 1st of March and will be on air, throughout this month. ‘Maya’ which goes on air between 6pm – 8pm on ‘Radio City Fun Ka Antenna’ is a woman’s diary about her life, narrated in the form of a story.
