Radio City 91.1 FM celebrates 'Radio City Zindagi Mubarak' in Pune and Ahmedabad

MUMBAI: In its continuous endeavour to contribute to society, Radio City 91.1FM has joined hands with Akanksha Foundation in Pune and Visamo Kids Foundation in Ahmedabad to usher in �Whatte Fun' for the lesser privileged children sheltered by both NGOs. Starting from the festive season this year all the way till Children's Day (November 14, 2008), Radio City has rolled out �Radio City Zindagi Mubarak – A City Smile Initiative' encouraging Radio Cityzens in Pune and Ahmedabad to spare a thought and allocate a small portion of their festive budget towards buying something for these deserving children.

Actively promoted across all shows on Radio City 91.1FM, this initiative appeals to listeners to step forth and gift clothes, toys, books, games, stationary and other goodies for the children. Listeners are invited to drop their gifts for these children at special Radio City Drop Boxes at the following locations in Pune and Ahmedabad:

So far, over 500 gifts have already been collected. Radio Cityzens have come forward and gifted clothes, toys, games, children's jewellery and accessories, blankets, bags, books, puzzles, shoes, stationary, CDs and much more. Responding to Radio City's appeal, the Pune branch of a national web services chain has volunteered to provide free Computer Education to children from Akanksha for 10 days. For more details on how to contribute to this initiative, listeners can tune into Radio City 91.1FM. �Radio City Zindagi Mubarak' will conclude on Children's Day, November 14, 2008 when Radio City 91.1FM will present all the collected goodies to the children at a Celebratory Ceremony at Mariplex Mall in Pune and Gallops Mall in Ahmedabad.
