Hosted by the loved by all', confidante to many', RJ Anmol, Purani Jeans has been instrumental in bringing back the magic of the golden era into its listeners' homes and lives.

To celebrate the success of the show and the love showered by its listeners in the year gone by, the station celebrated the one year anniversary in an old Iranian cafe Koolars and co', in Mumbai, true to the style and concept of the show. Koolars is an old world Iranian cafe and was known to be a hangout joint for many yesteryear Bollywood stars and was thus an ideal location for the celebration.

RJ Anmol hosted that evening's show of Purani jeans' live from the cafe, mingling with diners present there and speaking with the owners who have been there for years and seen eras and generations of stars and non stars enjoying their chai and brun maska!

Also present on the occasion was the super talented Vidya Balan who will be seen in a deglamourised avatar in her upcoming film, Ishqiya' co starring actors Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. Ishqiya, has a rustic feel to it and is set in the villages of Uttar Pradesh. It is a love story between a widow and two men who come to her door seeking refuge.

Vidya went on air live with RJ Anmol and also shook a leg to old hindi film songs and enthralled the live audience and listeners singing along with Anmol, sipping on Irani chai, cutting a cake, and celebrating the 1st anniversary of Purani jeans!

"I love old hindi film songs, Im a Ishqiya of old numbers and one of my favouirtes is 'Jai jai shiv shankar'," said a smiling Vidya as she waved out to the hundreds of fans and listeners gathered at the Cafe.
