On its 8th birthday, Radio Mirchi asks you to give a toy and take some joy

MUMBAI: Joy is increased by spreading it to others... and this April Mumbai's No.1 Radio station; Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM will be doing just that!

As Radio Mirchi turns eight on the 23rd of this month, it takes upon itself, a pledge to increase joy by spreading it amongst those who are less fortunate, with its initiative called Mirchi Toy factory – Toy do, Joy lo!'. This time around Mirchi's birthday will be about collecting toys for the NGO, Children Toy Foundation, whose aim is to educate children through play. Started in 1982 by Mr. Devendra Desai, Children Toy Foundation collects toys and organizes Play hour' for children at construction sites, slums, municipal schools and hospitals.

The Mirchi Toy Factory campaign, which began on 8th April, has been appealing to listeners to come forward and donate old board games, toys and sports gear that are in good condition and will help children have fun filled playtimes through the summer. It is a known fact that toys and games help improve concentration, creativity and social skills in children

If you wish to do your bit and contribute to the initiative, you can do so in any of the following ways:

?? Come down to the Mirchi office in Lower Parel and make your donations.

?? If you are busy at work, call the courier company, TEAM UNITED on 26178899, and they will come to your doorstep and collect your toys, free of COST.

?? Drop them off at your closest Shopper's Stop outlet

Tune into Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and help Mirchi make its 8th birthday a truly happy one!
