Muzu.tv Launch Music Social Network

MUMBAI: Muzu.tv, the multi-award winning Dublin based company which was founded by entrepreneurs Mark French and Ciaran Bollard, has launched what it claims to be the world's first music video social network giving music fans free access to a library of over 80,000 music videos including the Official Top 40, live concerts, back-stage footage, documentaries, tutorials, music news and interviews.

The launch sees the site transformed into a one stop shop for music fans online, featuring an intelligent recommendation engine which highlights videos for members based on their viewing habits. A newly created dashboard gives fans real-time news updates and videos from their favourite artists, and members can also share content with friends across the site. It also suggests other members with similar musical tastes for them to follow.

Members of Muzu's network can also receive updates from music publications and personalities such as Scott Mills, Popbitch, NME and The Fly magazine meaning they're never without the latest news on the music they love, whatever the genre.

Muzu.tv was launched in 2008 and went on to win and be shortlisted for numerous awards including the Irish Software Association Annual Award for Best New Company, Digital Media Awards, the Golden Spiders and IIA Net Visionary. Over the last three years it has signed lucrative distribution deals with many of the best recording labels including EMI, Warner, Sony BMG, Skint Loaded, Ministry Of Sound, Armada Music, Defected Records, Cherry Red Records, Ninja Tune, SPV and Beggar's XL Recordings, 4AD, Matador Records and Rough Trade, and syndication partners AOL and Telegraph Media Group.

Mark French (pictured) said: "There are countless ways to discuss and share music online, however we felt it was time that somebody cut through the noise and created the ultimate destination for music fans.

"These days music sites need to do more than just provide users with content. Our visitors are part of the social networking generation and they're looking for a site that puts them in touch not only with bands and fellow fans but also keeps them updated on the music scene.

We've created the only space online where music fans can get all their news, videos and more in one place, share content with their friends and meet new people."
