Talking Drums is a heady mix of high-energy tracks played by leading names in percussion -  Zakir Hussain, Taufiq Qureshi, Bickram Ghosh, Pete Lockett, Sridhar, Parthasarathy and Bondo. The music is an amalgamation of adrenaline-pumping energy, rhythm and beats and is bound to leave the listener awestruck.

About the Artistes

Zakir Hussain - This wizard of the Indian percussion instrument is more than just an epitome of brilliance. He is everything that signifies unparalleled genius, a culture icon and boundless creativity. He has crossed-over from the traditional to the modern form, and married the two to create what is quintessentially the �Zakir Hussain style'. He is the defining force behind the Tabla, which he uses masterfully to give expression to his music.

Taufiq Qureshi - An ace percussionist of India, Taufiq's performances showcase the intricacies of Indian rhythm, interwoven with his phenomenal command and sparkle of contemporary world percussions.

Bickram Ghosh - Bickram has carved out a niche for himself as a classical musician, world famous percussionist and composer. Today he is ranked among one of the most celebrated tabla players of our country.

Pete Lockett - Pete is one of the most versatile multi-percussionists in the world, having immersed himself in percussion and drums from every part of the globe, from Indian to Arabic and from Japanese to Latin. He has worked with a wide range of artistes such as Vikku Vinayakram, Selva Ganesh, Zakir Hussain, Taufiq Qureshi, U Shrinivas and Shankar Mahadevan to name a few.

Sridhar Parthasarathy - An IT professional, Sridhar pursued his passion in music and started working from home to be able to perform in concerts across the globe. An outstanding mrindangam player, Sridhar joined the band �Silk' in 2004 consisting Karl Peters, Sivamani, Shankar Mahadevan and Louis Banks.

Bondo - He is an extremely versatile Goan percussionist who is recently traveling around the world for his concert �Golden Year of Bondo' with specially formed Goan trible band. Trained by Ustad Allarakha Khan, Bondo is widely traveled and has learned to play traditional percussion instruments with command and ease.
