MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, India`s hottest radio station sizzles with the nation`s biggest stars this October.

The station gave its listeners a unique opportunity to meet the Mirchidaar stars of the movie Om Shanti Om - the gorgeous Deepika Padukone and the one and only King Khan- Shahrukh Khan!

As part of Mirchi`s exclusive marketing tie-up with Om-Shanti-Om, `Karde Disco` contest is being organized by Radio Mirchi across 21 cities. Listeners have to simply tune into Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and send in their entries. In the Mumbai phase of the contest the selected finalists were invited to the Radio Mirchi studio yesterday (October 26 2007) for the final round. The winners of this will be given an opportunity to meet Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from meet and greet with the star cast, there are various other prizes in store for the listeners like autographed CDs, Shahrukh`s clothes from Om Shanti Om and other exciting movie merchandise.

The event focused on the 70`s groove. The judges selected the winners on the basis of their performance, style of dressing and how well the person conducted himself in the 70`s fashion. The finalists were given 98.3 seconds to do an act from the 70`s (sing / dance / say a dialogue / enact a scene) in front of the judge, music director Vishal. To add to the retro quotient, contestants were provided props from the 70`s era such as a bow tie, wigs, sunglasses etc to add spice and variety to their sizzling performances. Radio Mirchi has designed special on-air programs that will take listeners into the 70`s time machine and as part of the theme, the station has been airing special interviews with fashion designer like Shina NC for giving tips on getting the 70s look, including the special songs that epitomized the 70`s etc. In Pune the contest is planned as a big `70s party` with entertainment, games with special contest around it. Anyone in the city with the name of Om or Shanti has been extended a special invitation for the party.
