Linkin Park's Music for Relief and Causecast Team Up for Star-Studded DOWNLOAD TO DONATE FOR HAITI v2.0 Campaign

MUMBAI: Music for Relief and Causecast are proud to launch DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0. Building on the successful 2010 Download to Donate for Haiti digital compilation album, Music for Relief and Causecast have teamed up to expand the program with an innovative, and rewarding new approach to fundraising.

DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0 encourages people to make a one-time $10 donation to the continued rebuilding of Haiti via cell phone (text RELIEF to 41010) or through Downloadtodonate.org (http://downloadtodonate.org) (via credit card).

As a thank you, donors will receive a one year subscription to a growing catalogue of music donated by hundreds of artists. Inaugural tracks will be made available in January from artists including: ALANIS MORISSETTE, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, CARIBOU, THE CRYSTAL METHOD, EVEREST, THE GLITCH MOB, KENNA, KIMBERLY CALDWELL, LANGHORNE SLIM, LINKIN PARK, LUPE FIASCO, METRIC, ONE ESKIMO, SLASH, SWITCHFOOT, THRICE, TREVOR HALL and YEASAYER.

Donations received will go directly to nonprofit partners working to rebuild Haiti -- Artists for Peace and Justice, charity: water, Music for Relief, Partners In Health, and The United Nations Foundation. The program will support the medium and long-term challenges of recovery, including delivery of food, access to clean water and sanitation, comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation services, as well as the rebuilding of schools for children affected by the earthquake.

"Our aim for DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0 is to provide an easy and fun way to engage people in helping rebuild Haiti," says Causecast CEO, Ryan Scott. "It's exciting to have such strong support from so many artists and partners this early in the campaign. There is still so much work to be done in Haiti, and we hope that in creating this platform, we can contribute to the fundraising and awareness so vital to the rebuilding process."

"Recovery in Haiti will be a long process," says Linkin Park's Dave 'Phoenix' Farrell. "Download to Donate for Haiti v2.0 is one way to stay engaged and involved through ongoing support."

Each month, downloadtodonate.org will feature new music, video content, giveaways, perks and updates on the collective impact of money raised through the program.
