Flipkart.com appoints Aparna Ballakur as Head of Human Resources

MUMBAI: India’s largest e-commerce brand, Flipkart, today announced that it has appointed Aparna Ballakur as its Chief People Officer (CPO). Aparna will lead the Human Resources function at Flipkart and partner with the leadership team on all strategic aspects of HR at Flipkart. She will be a part of the Executive Team and will contribute to the overall management of the business.

Prior to joining Flipkart, Aparna was the Vice-President of Human Resources of Yahoo! India and has also held the post of Director, Human Resources for India and China, Adobe Systems. She has also handled key positions in organizations like Netscout Systems, McAfee Software and Sasken Communication Technologies.

In a career spanning 15 + years, Aparna has worked with and led several large global teams. She has experience in talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, designing reward strategies and managing mergers and acquisitions.  She has been responsible for not only building teams from ground up, but also for leadership coaching and development across organizations.

Aparna Ballakur holds her Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical &Electronics), from the University of Mysore, India and has completed Certificate Programs in Executive Leadership from Cornell University and Human Resources for Strategic Advantage from The Stanford Graduate School of Business.
