Mumbai: Firangi Paani Rest O Pub, part of BJN Group of restaurants at Fun Republic, Level 3, Off. New Link Road, Andheri (west) celebrated Pub rock Fest 2008 -The Biggest Nation Wide Music Festival with the LIVE performance of band Lounge Piranha on Sunday 18th May, 08.
Lounge Piranha, originally from Bangalore gave its first ever performance in Mumbai. The band was formed in 2005 and specializes in rock. The band known for its experiment in sound bought together the Dijeridoo and Mor Sing played by Pervez. The other band members included Kamal Singh- Vocals and Guitar, George- Drums/ Rohan- Bass and Vocals. The arresting visual effects by Archana added to the overall performance and excitement of the evening. The band enthralled the music lovers with their originals - Snakes and Lotuses/ Negative/ Ebb/ Gun Song/ Yours Forever/ So Concise and a few more¦ They also played Creep by Radio Head.
Not only that, the boys did a very unusual medley of the 80's rock - highway star/ /Breaking the law combining with the desi tunes of Ek Do Teen from Tezaab / Ankhiyaan Milaoon from the movie Raja with Rabbi Shergill's number Bulla Ki Jaana.
The band enjoyed their gig at Firangi Paani Rest O Pub and was amazed with the response of the Mumbai crowd. They look forward to more performances in the city.
