MUMBAI: The Undisputed Pasha of Bhangra-pop Daler Mehndi is all set to burn the dance floors with his new Bollywood track. And this time he has belted out a Haryanavi number for the movie ‘Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi’.
Apparently, the Haryanvi track by Mehndi is a first of its kind having a Hip-hop groove to Haryanvi lyrics, and to add is a cop song with oodles of attitude. The director of the movie Rakesh Mehta wanted a different kind of music altogether. Vinay Jaiswal, the debutant music composer came up with ‘Mein Haryane Ka Sher’, and wanted this number to be sung by none other than Daler Mehndi. Daler Mehndi heard the lyrics and gave thumbs up to croon the song. “Daler paaji has rocked the song, & I am getting impatient for the people to hear it” quoted Vinay.
Versatile Mehndi, the unchallenged King of Bhangra, recently delivered his first Haryanvi number ‘Bawli Tared’ in his latest pop release ‘Tunak Tunak Tumba’. The track is embraced by all, and the pan-genre album outclasses all what the consummate artist has done in past!
