MUMBAI: Within hours after launching, ‘Get Lucky’ skyrocketed to #1 in 55 markets. That’s not all, the song shattered Spotify records in its ascent to become the most streamed track in its first day in the US and UK, and set the record for the biggest release day stream count for any single globally on Deezer!   

The single, with vocals by Williams and guitar by its co-writer Nile Rodgers of Chic, will be on Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” album.

According to Will Hope, director of Label Relations Spotify said, “There was never any doubt that the first original single from Daft Punk in years was going to be one of the biggest debut singles of 2013. We expect the album to become one of the biggest, if not the biggest, on Spotify this year.”
