Big FM - Longest Human Chain in form of RED RIBBON symbolizing World AIDS Day

MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, Hyderabad's No.1 FM Station in its continuous endeavor of connecting with its listeners has come up with a unique on ground activity to create awareness on World Aids Day , December 01,2009.

BIG 92.7 FM in association with harneedi.com has joined hands to drive awareness about the HIV infected kids, and  forming the longest human chain in the form World Aids symobol (RED Ribbon), with the theme Don't Discriminate HIV Infected Kids – A Human Touch Spreads Love , NOT AIDS. BIG FM RJ's & listeners, Kids from NGO Desire Society, Wesley College students, Harneedi.com employees are the part of this human chain.

BIG FM RJs along with others present will taken pledge against the discrimination of HIV positive individuals by the society owing to a variety of misconceptions on AIDS. This unique activity aims to drive massive awareness on the fact that AIDS doesnt spread through simply touching the infected. It aims to give those innocent kids an equal chance to live. Led by BIG FM RJs Hundreds of people have signed the pledge over the last one week during the as part of the initiative.

Present on this Occasion to support this initiative & to be the part of this campaign are eminent personalities from the city including Director Surya Kiran, Renowed Tollywood Actresses Kalyani Surya Kiran, Rajesh Gade – Business Head - harneedi.com, Dr.DN Reddy – President Indian Medical Association (Specialist for Family Medicine, HIV/ AIDS) & Neelima Mohanty – Communication Manger Desire Society.
