MUMBAI: After the success of the song ‘Zariya’ with 1.1 million Web Views, Coke Studio@MTV Season 3 presents another masterpiece from the musical genius A.R.Rahman on the occasion of Independence Day ‘Jagaao Mere Des Ko’. Known for his immense passion for the nation, the multi-talented singer-composer has given us some of the best patriotic songs of all time and with ‘Jagaao Mere Des Ko’, he adds another gem to his unbeatable collection. This will be the second song that gets previewed on digital media, before the episode with 6 songs by AR Rahman airs on MTV this Saturday, 17th Aug, at 8 pm.

‘Jagaao Mere Des Ko -  Mind Without Fear’, classic fusion with opposing styles of music and talent, the song brings together the earthy voice of A R Rahman and Hindustani Classical vocals of Suchi, segueing into some free flowing Rap by Blaaze.

Written by the talented lyricist Prasoon Joshi who was inspired by late poet Rabindranath Tagore’s poem ‘Mind without fear’, this song will also see A.R.Rahman croon in Bengali for the first time. A little unfamiliar with the language and its pronunciation, Rahman dedicated hours to sing it right! Now isn’t he a perfectionist.
