MUMBAI: Extending the BlackBerry curve series, Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) have announced the launch of BlackBerry Curve 9310 smartphone in the US market. Claimed to be user friendly and good option for first-time smartphone users, the slim phone has been deployed with BlackBerry messenger and other social media features. The handset is embedded with physical QWERTY keyboard with dedicated BBM keys, 3.2MP primary camera, video recoding, 32GB expandable memory and VZ navigator. The smartphone runs BlackBerry 7.1version and is enhanced with several apps including facebook, twitter, RSS feed and Social Feeds 2.0 to update multiple social networks simultaneously, offering a consolidated view for various news sources, social or instant messaging applications. The handset also include parental control feature to determine access to various messaging and social networking services and create a contact list for incoming and outgoing calls. The Verizon BlackBerry Curve 9310 is priced at $49.99 and will be available through Verizon retail stores.
