MUMBAI: Expanding its Xperia series further, Sony has unveiled two smartphones – Tipo and Tipo Dual in the handset market.

The devices feature Sony's Timescape UI, 3.2 inch scratch-resistant TFT touch-screen, HVGA resolution of 320x480 pixels, android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.2 MP camera with 4x digital zoom, Adreno 200 graphics processing unit, xLOUD audio filter technology, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, USB port, 512 MB RAM, 2.5GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB on MicroSD card and 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The smartphones are also embedded with pre-installed Google apps like Google talk, mail, voice search and Google maps with street view and latitude. The only difference between the two handsets is the Tipo Dual which is a dual-sim smartphone.

The Xperia Tipo and Tipo Dual are available for pre order on Infibeam at Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,299 respectively.
