Sony expands Xperia series with 'Go'

MUMBAI: Expanding its Xperia series, Sony has launched ‘Xperia Go’ smartphone in the Indian market.

Touted as rugged and waterproof, the smartphone runs on android 2.3 gingerbread OS and is powered with mobile Bravia Engine, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB of RAM and Li-Ion 1305 mAh. The smartphone is embedded with 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch-screen with scratch-resistant glass, 8GB built-in storage, MP4, MP3 and WAV music player, stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm jack, 32GB expandable memory card, 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording. 

Xperia Go is pre-loaded with music unlimited and video unlimited apps from Sony and offers access to Hollywood blockbusters, TV series and various music tracks. It also features Geo-tagging, touch focus, 3D sweep panorama, HTML5, Adobe flash, SNS integration, Push Mail, IM, Google Search, Voice memo, document viewer, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, google talk, face and smile detection.

The handset will be available only on Flipkart and Infibeam for Rs 18,999 and Rs 18,799 respectively.
