Sony Ericsson launches three new high-end handsets

MUMBAI: Sony Ericsson has rolled out its new product lineup with the launch of Satio, Aino and Yari mobile phones in the market.

With the launch of the new handsets the company unveiled its �Communication Entertainment' consumer proposition, the pinnacle of what the company has been working towards since the start of the joint venture between the two companies, Sony and Ericsson in 2001.

Talking about the launch Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India President Anil Sethi says, "Bringing together rich content, unique applications and best in class entertainment experiences, our Communication Entertainment proposition is the next step in our evolution. Everything that we have done to date has brought us to this point – we created the music phone category in 2005 selling over 100 million Walkman phones and we are now ready to unveil the next chapter in the evolution of the company – Communication Entertainment – providing consumers unlimited opportunities to share their entertainment experiences."

Satio comes with a 3.5 inch screen offering a 16:9 widescreen format. The handset sports a 12.1 mega pixel camera with smile shutter, xenon flash and touch focus. It also offers touch user interface which makes navigation truly intuitive - regardless if the users browse the media menu, adjust the camera settings or play music. The handset available at Rs. 35,950.

Aino priced at Rs 28,950 keeps the users updated with the latest videos and music. Media Go helps users transfer, play and organize all their music, photos, videos and podcasts from the PC, simply and effortlessly to enjoy directly on Aino via Wi Fi. The handset also offers the ability to access content stored on a PlayStation 3 from anywhere in the world through a Wi-Fi connection. Using the same technology found in the PSP3, the new phone gives users remote play access to videos, television shows and photos all at the press of a button. The handset also sports an 8 mega pixel camera and outstanding sound quality with clear stereo and clear bass.

The next handset Yari debuts Gesture gaming. With Gesture gaming users make the moves in front of the screen to get right in the middle of the action without pushing the age old buttons. The Phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera, music player and stereo speakers for easy listening, and unique feature like Music call - one button press to share your favourite tracks while you talk. The handset is priced at Rs. 16,950.
