Sony Ericsson launches Sony W995 Walkman phone

Sony Ericsson has unfurled its new handset W995 Walkman phone.

The handset sports a 2.6" resolution display and supports an auto rotate function that allows the user to rotate their handset in horizontal mode as well as vertical mode powerful. It also has speakers and 3.5mm audio socket and is loaded with features like 8.1 mega pixel camera with face detection, smile shutter and LED flash, motion and PC like gaming. YouTube and great storage facility of 8GB memory card are the additional features. Users can enhance their video viewing experience with pocket home theatre system MS-410 that comes with the phone.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India general manager Sudhin Mathur said, "Mobile phones today are at the epicenter of our digital lives and are increasingly looked upon as a getaway to entertainment-on-the-go. With the launch of Sony Ericsson W995 walkman phone, we are making an attempt to converge mobile entertainment by bringing together best quality video experience, premium imaging and music features and great connectivity options."

It also has GPS navigation feature that supports Google Maps & a Way finder Navigator to get directions on this phone and covers 4 GSM bands & UMTS 2100. This 3G HSDPA phone supports WiFi technology to enjoy wireless internet access and packed with the features like EDGE technology that provides high speed data rates by using built in Bluetooth and USB cable connection. The rechargeable battery on this phone provide up to nine hours of GSM talk time.

The handset is available for a price of Rs 27,786.
