MUMBAI: Samsung has announced the launch of E2370, a rugged handset in the market boasting of an extra long life battery.

The entry level handset also known as Samsung Xcover is being touted as providing an astounding 67 day standby time with 22 hours of talk time on a single charge.

The comparatively bulky handset weighs 115 grams. Its features include GSM/EDGE connectivity, a 128 x 160 pixels TFT display, Bluetooth, FM radio, VGA photo camera, 5MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support (up to 2GB). The handset is also IP54-certified phone and is dust and splash resistant.

The phone will be available for $96, though its pricing and availability is India is still unknown.
