Samsung unveils dual-SIM smartphone Galaxy Core

MUMBAI: Fresh on the successful launch of its S4 handset, Samsung has expanded its Galaxy series with the launch of the dual-SIM smartphone Galaxy Core in the global market.

The device sports a 4.3 inch TFT capacitive touch-screen with a 480x800 pixels resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Samsung's TouchWiz interface layer on top, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front facing camera, FM radio, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable through a microSD card, WiFi, bluetooth 3.0, GPS connectivity and 1800 mAh battery.

The handset also comes equipped with Smart Stay that recognizes when a user is looking at the phone and saves battery life when a user looks away by dimming the screen and powering down using advanced facial recognition, Smart Alert that alerts the user to missed calls and messages when the device is picked up, Motion UI that activates common functions such as refresh or mute with simple motion commands and S Voice which is Samsung's own voice assistant.

The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.
