MUMBAI: Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of three new dual-SIM handsets which include Samsung Star Duos GT-B7722, Guru Dual 25 (GT-E1225) and Guru Dual 26 (GT-E1252).

The GT– B7722, a 3G and 2G touch dual-SIM active phone has 5MP AF camera with LED flash, the FindMusic app that tracks down new song titles for download and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. It also comes with 250MB of internal memory, expandable up to 16GB and offers Wi-Fi support.

Guru Dual 25 (GT– E1225) and Guru Dual 26 ( GT –E 1252) boast of stereo FM, Torch, nine regional language support, phonebook and SMS memory to store up to 1000 contacts and messages. The dual-SIM Shift feature of Guru Dual 25 allows users to carry 2 SIMS on the phone, however only one SIM is active at a time.

The Guru Dual 25 features a 1.8 inch QQVGA TFT screen, is equipped with a 3.5mm earphone jack and  has 800mAh battery with a rated talk time of up to 9 hours. While Guru Dual 26 has a 2-inch QQVGA 262K TFT LCD screen, a 1000mAh battery with 11 hours of rated talk time. The handsets are also equipped with games, mobile prayer, Indian calendar, 40 poly ring tones, SOS message and Bike mode features.

Samsung claims that Star Duos is the industry's first 3G + 2G dual-standby touchscreen phone  The phone has dedicated widgets to manage switching between 2 SIM cards, and has business features and tools like active sync which updates e-mails from the desktop to the user's mobile phonebook 2000 for organising contacts, a document viewer that handles MS Office, PDF TXT and other files, a multi–language dictionary and an offline mode which allows the user to turn off the phone while he/she continues to work on other functions.

Samsung Star Duos GT-B7722 is priced at Rs 12,300. Samsung Guru Dual 25 (GT – E1225) costs Rs 2020 and the Samsung Guru Dual 26 (GT – E 1252) comes with a price tag of Rs 2240.
