Samsung launches Galaxy S4 zoom

MUMBAI: Samsung has officially announced first camera-focused android smartphone Galaxy S4 zoom.

The device features 4.3-inch super AMOLED qHD touchscreen display, android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card, 16MP rear camera with Xenon flash, 10X Optical Zoom, 1.9 MP front camera, Wi-Fi, NFC, bluetooth 4.0 and 2,330mAh battery.

Samsung Electronics CEO and head of IT & mobile business JK Shin said, “The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom represents yet another step forward in the way Samsung is working to enhance the lives of our customers around the world. As communication continues to become increasingly visual in nature, people wish to capture and share their moments in the highest quality possible, but often do not have the space or inclination to carry a dedicated camera for this purpose. The Galaxy S4 zoom changes this forever, combining the industry leading functionality and connectivity of the Galaxy S4 with the high quality photographic experience you’d expect from a compact camera. The result is truly the best of both worlds, without compromise.”

The phone will come with pre-loaded apps like accelerometer, geomagnetic, proximity, gyroscope and RGB light sensors.

The Galaxy S4 zoom is expected to hit US and UK shores by the end of Q3 this year. The price of the product is yet to be announced.
