MUMBAI: Headset maker Plantronics has launched noise reduction and built-in echo cancellation stereo bluetooth headsets ‘BackBeat Go’.
The wireless earbuds is packed with stereo sound features which enables premium sound for media, music and calls. The wireless headset is embedded with Bluetooth technology allowing users to connect to the smartphones and tablets. It also enables in-line controls to receive calls, skip tracks, and adjust volume. The sound-isolating buds features headset battery meter which will be displayed onscreen of iPhone iPad, 3.0 android tablets, and 4.0 Android phones and tablets. The headset weighing 13 grams offers 4.5 hours of battery back-up and is priced at Rs 4,990.
Plantronics Country manager (India) Bobby Joseph said, “With BackBeat, we are trying to create a new category... trying to push music. This segment has a lot of potential. People want to go wireless and want better sound quality. The company expects this product to contribute about 10 per cent to its retail revenues and help Plantronics expand footprint in the consumer segment.”
