Nokia unveils Nokia 3270 Classic

MUMBIA: Nokia has launched Nokia 3270 Classic, claiming to be a spill proof and dustproof handset.

The body of the handset is made of stainless steel elements, sealed materials and rough textured surface. The back cover is protected against water and dust by a metal screw lock. Users can utilize their phone in duty, muddy or wet environment.

In addition to the extra tough body, the Nokia 3720 classic sports a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT display, capable of showing up to 16 million colors. There is also a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, which can also be used as a flashlight onboard. Bluetooth 2.1 support, FM radio, 2.5 mm audio jack, microUSB and microSD card slot (1GB included in the box) are the additional features.

Connect Devices vice president Markku Soumi says, Whether using it at the beach or in a dusty construction site, the Nokia 3720 Classic has been specifically engineered to withstand the splashes, bumps and drops that comes down with the terrain. While the Nokia 3270 Classic is tough on the outside, it is equally functional on the inside- a perfect choice for people who want a long-lasting and reliable mobile phone for any environment....

The handset will be available in Gray and Yellow color versions and will come under the price tag of 125 Euros.

Earlier this month Samsung had also announced the launch of a similar waterproof handset, Samsung Marine for the rugged terrain.
