Nokia unveils 41 MP camera smartphone

MUMBAI: Nokia has unveiled a 41 MP camera smartphone - ‘808 PureView’ at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The handset features 4 inch screen ClearBlack amoled gorilla glass display with 360 x 640 resolution and 16GB internal user memory which supports MicroSD cards up to 32GB.  Powered by 1.3GHz processor, the device runs on Symbian Belle OS.

The device also sports Dolby headphone technology enabling users to experience media in surround sound.

Claiming that images can be printed in ‘poster size’, the 41 MP camera has been designed to zoom in without a bulky lens, retaining the picture quality. The device features a Carl Zeiss lens which shoots HD video in continuous focus at 1080p and is equipped with a 1/1.2 inch sensor.

The handset will be launched in May 2012.
