Nokia to unveil Lumia 820 and 920 smartphones in India

MUMBAI: Propping up the sales of its Lumia series which has failed to attract customers, Nokia has enhanced the series with the launch of Lumia 820 and 920 handsets in the Indian market.

The handset is estimated to be between Rs 32000-35000.

Nokia Lumia 820 is embedded with 1.5 GHz Dual-core CPU, 1 GB RAM, 2.0 micro-USB port, 4.3 inch touch-screen, 8GB internal memory, 8MP camera with 4x Digital zoom, flash and secondary camera, 1650 mAh Li-ion battery with talk time 2G (up to 14 hours) / 3G (up to 8 hours) and standby time upto 330 hours. The device features GPS, Cellular location, WiFi802.11 a, b, g, n (2.4 GHz), 3.0 bluetooth connectivity, media playback supporting AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA audio, 264 / AVC, MPEG-4, VC-1, WMV video, OTA video Streaming and internet. The smartphone include default apps like sensors accelerometer (motion), ambient light, proximity, alarm, calculator, calendar, HTML browser, email POP3, IMAP and push email (Exchange, Gmail)

Nokia Lumia 920 is further enhanced with 4.3inch, 8MP camera, 1830mAh Li-ion battery with talk time2G (up to 7 hours)/3G (up to 7 hours) and Standby time (max) 300 hours, 16GB internal memory, common profiles HFP [hands-free], A2DP [stereo audio], WiFi802.11 b, g, n and 2.1 bluetooth+EDR. The smartphone is charged with 1.4 GHz Single core CPU, 512MB RAM, 2.0 USB, media playback supporting AVI, h.264 / AVC, MPEG-4, VC-1, WMV video format, AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA audio format with mono speakers and 3.5mm headset jack.

The handsets are slated to run on Microsoft’s new operating system Windows Phone 8 and will hit shelves in Germany and Italy by mid-November.
