Nokia N900 launched in Indian market

MUMBAI: Adding another handset to its high end range, Nokia has announced the launch of its much anticipated handset N900 in India.

Bringing a new mobile computing experience, the handset runs on Linux-based Maemo 5 operating system giving a PC like experience on your mobile phone.

The handset features a high-resolution, 3.5-inch, WVGA touch screen and fast internet connectivity with 10/2 HSPA and WLAN. The phone is powered by ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 1GB of application memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. The browser user on the phone is powered by Mozilla technology. The phone also supports Adobe Flash 9.4. It also has a slide out QWERTY Keyboard.

The handset has 32GB of storage, which is expandable up to 48GB via a microSD card. It sports a 5 megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a dual LED flash. The phone also supports social networking sites like Gtalk and Facebook, alongside email, video call and many such features.

The handset is priced at Rs 30,640.
