Nokia introduces X7 Symbian Anna handset in Indian markets

MUMBAI: Nokia has released the X7 smartphone with a new version of Nokia's Symbian operating system - Anna in India.

New Symbian Anna will feature new icons and multiple under-the-hood user interface enhancements which includes a faster web browser, refurbished OVI maps, improved text inputs and higher security.

Nokia X7 is being touted as a 'gaming' phone with its 4 AMOLED inch screen, the Broadcom BCM2727 graphics processor with 640x360 display resolution. The device comes preloaded with Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD games like 'Need for Speed' (NFS) and also offers unlimited range of premium games from Nokia's Ovi store.

X7 features QWERTY keyboard, 256 MB RAM, 680 MegaHertz single core chip, 8 GB memory card expandable upto 32 GB, 8 MP camera and shoots 720 pixel video at 25 frames per second. It is designed in the dark and light stainless steel colors with Corning's Gorilla display glass and measures 119.7 x 62.8 x 11.9 mm.

The handset supports both 2G and 3G network connectivity; 802.11 WiFi support along with Bluetooth 3.0; and USB connectivity. The installed 1200 mAh battery is expected to give up to 450 hours of standby and 4.5 hours of talk time on 3G networks.

X7 is priced at Rs 23,000 and is available at all Nokia stores.
