Huawei and Spice Mobility launch android phone 'S Huawei Y100'

MUMBAI: Entering into the list of affordable smartphone category, Huawei in collaboration with Spice Mobility has launched a low- cost android phone ‘S Huawei Y100’ in the Indian market.

The smartphone runs on  2.3 android gingerbread OS, 800MHz processor, 256 MB RAM and is powered with 2.8" TFT 262k colours capacitive touchscreen with 320×240 pixel dimensions and 1050 mAh battery providing 5 hours talk-time for both 2G and 3G connections.

The device is loaded with 512 MB internal storage, 32GB extended microSD card, 30 fps video recording, microUSB port, proprietary battery charging slot, orientation sensor, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, MP3, AAC, AAC+, WAV, MP4, MIDI, OGG, AMR audio formats and MP4, 3GP video formats. The 3.2MP focus camera also features white balance modes, picture size adjustment, picture quality adjustment, store location and 2.8x digital zoom.

The handset sports 3G (2100 MHz), WiFi, bluetooth, A-GPS and Quad-band 2G (GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) connectivity. Available at Saholic.com, Y100 is priced at Rs 6000
