MUMBAI: Expanding its range of desire smartphones, HTC in association with Tata Docomo has unveiled ‘Desire VC’ in the Indian market.

The dual-sim device is equipped with 4 inch WVGA capacitive touch-screen, 480 x 800 pixels resolution, HTC Sense 4.0 integrated with android 4.0, 5MP auto camera with flash, video recording, Beats audio, 3.5mm audio jack, 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB, 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor, WiFi, bluetooth and 1650mAh battery.

HTC India country manager Faisal Siddiqui said, “The new HTC Desire VC is an excellent amalgamation of style and technology. Its innovative design and dual-sim capability allows users to maximize their network connections while smartly managing data usage, making it the perfect lifestyle smartphone choice.”

As part of its association with Tata Docomo, the new CDMA post-paid subscribers will get double talktime (Rs 398 on Diet 199 Plan for 3 bill-cycles) and 2GB EvDO data per month free for a year. The pre-paid CDMA customers will get double talktime on select recharges for the first 180 days and 1GB EvDO data per month for the first six months.

Tata Docomo head non voice services Sunil Tandon said, “As a well received dual-technology telecom service provider in India, the addition of a smartphone like the HTC Desire VC to our existing portfolio of products and services is an important step in strengthening our offerings to consumers in the CDMA & GSM space.”

The device is priced at Rs 23300.
