Google unveils Nexus 4 smartphone

MUMBAI: Introducing the latest inclusion in Google's line of Nexus smartphones, the web giant   has unveiled Nexus 4 smartphone created by LG Electronics Inc.

The Nexus 4 phone boasts 4.7-inch screen with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), Qualcomm Snapdragon(TM) S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 8MP rear and 1.3MP front camera.

Powered with 2,100 mAh Lithium polymer battery, the smartphone sports unlocked bluetooth, GSM/UMTS/HSPA+, GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and HSPA+ 21.

The device also features SlimPort HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack, wireless charging, NFC (Android Beam), microphone, accelerometer, compass, ambient light, gyroscope, barometer and GPS.

The 16GB model is available at $199 with a two-year contract to buy phone service and Internet access from T-Mobile whereas a contract free version is available for $299 with 8GB internal storage and 16GB model for $349.
