MUMBAI: Altec Lansing has announced the Live 5000 Wi-Fi speaker for android, PC and iOS devices.

The tri-amp system includes two 3-inch mid-range drivers designed with kevlar and neodymium soft-dome tweeters. It delivers high sensitivity and a long-throw 4-inch subwoofer with a passive radiator for an enhanced bass sound.

Through the Live Controller app users can create their own playlists, browse local and online media sources and manage account data for online music sources.

Live 5000 Wi-Fi speaker is priced at $499.95 and will be launched in the next few months The Altec Lansing Live Controller app is available for download on the Apple App Store, the Android Marketplace and company's website.
