MUMBAI:  Kaushal Inamdar is doing his bit for Marathi music. The composer has been in the music circuit since a decade having given music for several Marathi films.

Now, a music label from Germany GoFish Records has picked up his track from the movie Its Breaking News to be featured in its forthcoming World Music album. The philosophical track has been crooned by Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal. MUMBAI: 2010 has gotten off to a promising start for the radio industry, with the I &B ministry hinting at an imminent announcement on phase III. While the royalty issue still hangs fire and bad news (Worldspace India shutting shop) did mar the rosy outlook, there's much to look forward to.

The music industry isn't complaining either, apart from the usual whinings about dipping physical sales and rising piracy. From both sectors, those that have been able to shine are the ones that have looked at obstacles as challenges and proceeded to overcome them, and how. 2010, we believe, will belong to these visionaries - be they institutions or individuals.

That’s the first question I ask anyone who asks me if she or he can be an RJ. Now, don’t get me wrong! There’s nothing wrong in being a good looking RJ. But, who wants to look at you, if you have a great sense of humour and can laugh at yourself. All the fools who think they are good looking end up putting their feet in their mouth while on air or join the prime-time brigade on the idiot box. MUMBAI: Bright Telecom has launched its range of handsets in India under the name G-phone. The company has launched G-588 that can be used in two totally different modes like GSM + GSM or GSM + CDMA.
