Peepli [Live]

When perfectionist Aamir Khan is a part of a film, you can surely expect it to be like a jack-in-the-box. You have no idea of what might be coming your way, but you are sure that there is something unusual about it.

Aisha

Music: Amit Trivedi

Lyrics: Javed Akhtar

Label: Sony Music

Rating: 3/5

Aisha is a girl who loves to meddle in other people’s lives by playing cupid and match-making is just her fad. So the music of the film should exactly match up with its perky and chic sentiment.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

Music: Pritam

Lyrics: Irshad Kamil, Neelesh Misra, Sameer and Amitabh Bhattacharya

Label: T-Series

Rating 2.5/5

True that Pritam had many plagiarism accusations thrown at him, but all that seems to be now buried under his back-to-back commercial hits. The sound and music of his latest film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai has his trademark hook and feel as expected, with some surprises thrown in.

Kajraare

Music: Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics: Sameer

Rating: 2/5

Label: T-Series

So Himesh Reshammiya is back - but albeit with his old ways - and while his trademark style did create a rage, over the years it has started to sound repetitive.

I Hate Luv Storys

Music: Vishal Shekhar

Lyrics:  Anvita Dutt Guptan, Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar

Label: Sony Music

Rating: 3

Some of us may hate love stories and the entire hulla hoop surrounding it - thanks to bollywood, and the important role it plays in adding to our imagination. The music too, of such films was often exaggerated, but interestingly, the music I Hate Luv Storys has a good connect value and is not something one can/should miss.

Raajneeti

Music: Pritam, Wayne Sharpe, Aadesh Srivastava, Shantanu Moitra

Lyrics: Gulzar, Sameer, Irshad Kamil

Label: Sony Music

Rating: 2.5/5

Classical music lovers may like Raajneeti's music. Though it’s not something that will top charts, the feel is largely 'Indian', given the films subject. The music is composed by Wayne Sharpe, Pritam, Aadesh Srivastava and Shantanu Moitra.

Kites

Music: Rajesh Roshan

Lyrics: Nasir Faraaz and Asif Ali Beg

Rating: 3.5

Needless to say, the buzz around this film is huge. First, because it's a high budget Hrithik Roshan film, and second, the music is scored by composer Rajesh Roshan - the team that previously gave box office hits like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Krissh.
