Red FM scores in Delhi and Kolkata

MUMBAI: After soaring success last week, Mirchi failed with its winning spree as it lost strides in the city of Kolkata and Mumbai while earning few points in Delhi. It was Red FM that sprung to action in week 26 as it snapped considerable points in Kolkata and Delhi while maintaining status quo in Mumbai.

Bangalore- After losing grip last week, leader Big FM was back in the game in week 26, gaining 0.1 points to take away a  market share of 19.8 per cent. Radio Mirchi followed next maintaining a status quo at 17.7 per cent. Fever FM managed to up its ante this week gaining 0.1 to corner 15.3 per cent. Both Radio City and AIR FM Rainbow saw dip in numbers losing 0.2 and 0.1 points respectively to take home a share of 12.1 and 9.4 per cent. After losing to Red FM last week, Radio One managed to consolidate its position this week as it garnered 0.2 points, taking a share of 8.9 per cent from the pie. Red FM lost 0.2 points to end up with 8.6 per cent.

Delhi- Leader Mirchi managed to score this week with 0.1 points scooping away a share of 24.9 per cent. Both Fever and AIR FM Gold maintained status quo at 18.5 and 17.6 per cent respectively. Red FM saw a god run in week 26 as it managed to notch a massive 0.5 points with a surging 9.9 per cent of the market share. Radio City's performance saw a dip this week as well, as the station lost a considerable 0.3 points managing a share of 8.1 per cent. Both Big FM and Radio One earned 0.1 points to grab 7.2 and 5.7 per cent respectively.

Kolkata- Week 26 did not prove to be good for the radio stations in the city as most of the stations saw dwindling numbers. After a gala last week where it managed to notch several points, Radio Mirchi received a set back thsi week, as it saw a wipe out of 0.5 points from its share to hold on to 20.2 per cent. Like Mirchi, Big FM also saw dip in number as it lost a massive 0.6 points managing a share of 17.1 per cent. Following the suit, Friends and Amar FM both stood to lose a considerable 0.5 and 0.1 points this week. After being dethroned from the sixth position last week, Red FM manged to outshine other stations as it stood to be the only station to garner a jump of 0.5 points in its listnership with  8.9  per cent of the share. Fever FM was pushed at the seventh position as it lost 0.4 points. Radio One also saw a dip of 0.2 points in the city. Surprisingly, it was the tail enders that saw a surge in their listnership. AIR Gold, AIR Rainbow and Akashwani Kolkata all managed to hog 0.5 points.

Mumbai- Leader Mirchi saw a fall in its listnership at 17.1 per cent after losing 0.1 points. Red FM and Radio City held on their respective positions at 14.1 and 13.1. AIR FM Gold elbowed its way up in week 26 by gaining 0.5 points thus leaving behind its competitors Big FM and Fever FM both of which lost 0.1 points. They managed a share of 11.6 and 11.2 per cent respectively. Radio One once again enjoyed a no loss no gain week at 6.2 per cent.
