RAM WK 3/11: Red FM, Mirchi gain in 3 metros

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi  and Red FM pegged gains in three of the four RAM metros per Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 3 of 2011 (16 to 22 Jan 2011) across all people 12+ at all places of listening. While Radio Mirchi posted a strong gain of 1.7% of market share in Delhi and with 23.9% market share, is ahead, by 5%, of the second-placed Fever 104 FM (18.9%). In Mumbai, Red FM added 1.3% market share to close at 13.9% to be Number Two in the Mumbai market, with leader Radio Mirchi at 15.7%. Radio One was the second highest gainer in Mumbai, adding 0.6% to its market share. Red FM was second to Mirch in the gainers' list in Delhi (.9%), and led the Kolkata gainers' list with .5% market share. Radio Mirchi gained share in Kolkata and Bangalore too.
 

AIR FM-2 Gold, a strong player in Delhi, lost 2.2% market share to fall a clear 3% behind the second-placed Fever, which is at 18.9%. Per Week 2 reports, In Mumbai, Fever dropped 1.1% of market share.

(4)   Bangalore: Radio Mirchi - 0.6; AIR FM1-Rainbow – 0.3
