Radio One climbs in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata

MUMBAI: Radio One has not figured high in the numbers game as perceived by the RAM ratings in several weeks, but week 15 gave it reason for cheer.

The station clocked better market shares in Delhi, Kolkata as well as Mumbai, while maintaining status quo in Bangalore.

Bangalore: Big FM loosened its lead over the city, slipping 0.1 percentage points, and ending the week with a share of 19.4 per cent. Radio Mirchi that gained 0.2 points, inched up closer to the leader with a share of 17.7 per cent. Fever too climbed 0.2 points, and ended with a share of 15.5 per cent. Radio City at fourth place was followed by AIR Rainbow FM, which in turn was followed by Radio One, which kept its previous week's share of 8.9 per cent.

Delhi: In the capital, Mirchi consolidated its lead position by adding 0.2 percentage points and ending the week with a market share of 24.4 per cent. Fever too climbed 0.1 points and ended with a share of 18.7 per cent. AIR FM Gold at third position was followed by Red FM that lost 0.3 points and ended with a share of 9.3 per cent. Radio One at seventh position climbed 0.1 points to end with a share of 6.1 per cent.


Kolkata:
Both Mirchi and Big slipped in week 15 but held on to their respective positions, even as Friends and Aamar FM both climbed 0.4 points to end with market shares of 11.8 and 11.4 per cent respectively. Radio One made considerable strides by gaining 0.5 percentage points and ending the week with a share of 6.6 per cent, behind Fever FM, which had a share of 7.5 per cent of the market.


Mumbai:
The top five stations in Mumbai continued to slip even in week 15, with leader Mirchi losing 0.2 points and ending wtih a share of 17.1 per cent, while Red FM lost a significant 0.6 points and ended with a share of 14.1 per cent, just ahead of Radio City with its share of 13.6 per cent. Radio One which stayed at sevnth place, climbed 0.7 points to end with a share of 6.4 per cent, behind Fever with a share of 11.1 per cent.
