Radio City inches forward in B'lore and Delhi

MUMBAI: After a good run last week Radio Mirchi could not hold on to its share as it lost considerable points in almost all the metros  Radio One saw a mixed response as it gained in Kolkata and Mumbai but lost few strides in Bangalore and Delhi.

Week 31 saw Radio City move forward as it gained points in the metros of Bangalore, Delhi and maintained status quo in Mumbai.

Bangalore - Leader Big FM continued to slip in week 31 as it lost 0.3 points to take home a share of 19.4 per cent. After a good run last week, Radio Mirchi saw a dip in numbers as it lost a considerable 0.4 points to retain a market share of 17.5 percent. Fever FM at the third spot also lost 0.1 points followed by Radio City which added 0.2 points to its kitty and shaved off 12.6 per cent of the market share. AIR FM Rainbow also saw a slag week as it lost a massive 0.5 points. Week 31 was sluggish for Radio One as well. After a good run in the past two weeks, the station lost 0.3 points this week managing to corner 8.7 per cent of the share. Red FM added 0.1 points to its haul    

Delhi - Last week's star performer Radio Mirchi lost 0.1 points to grab 24.9 per cent of the total pie. Fever also loosened grip as it lost 0.1 points taking home a share of 18.6 per cent. At third spot AIR FM Gold maintained status quo at 17.7 per cent followed by Red FM which gained 0.1 points to earn 9.5 per cent of share. Radio City inched forward to gain 0.5 points and pocketed a share of 8.8 per cent  Big also upped its ante this week as it gained 0.3 points in the city and grabbed 7.8 per cent of the market share. Last week's gainer Radio One lost 0.2 points in week 31.

Kolkata - Leader Mirchi could not sustain last week's good performance as it lost 0.5 points in week 31 to take home a share of 20.4 per cent. Big FM saw a no loss no gain week at 17.6 per cent. Both Friends and Aamar crawled back in the game as it gained 0.5 and 0.1 points respectively to cling to a market share of 11.7 and 10.7 per cent. Fever also saw a surge in listenership as it added 0.2 points followed by Red FM which gained 0.3 points to capture a market share of 8.5 per cent. Radio One's listenership swelled in Kolkata as it gained 0.4 points to take home a market share of 6.5 per cent.

Mumbai - Mirchi lost 0.3 points in the city in week 31 to grab a share of 17.1 per cent. Red FM slipped in the number game as it lost 0.2 points and taking a share of 13.6 per cent from the total pie. Sharing the spot with Red, Radio City maintained status quo at 13.6 per cent. AIR FM Gold bounced back in the city as it gained a massive 0.6 points to capture 11.6 per cent of the market share. Big FM lost 0.3 in the city followed by Fever which maintained status quo at 11.1 per cent. Radio one jumped ahead adding 0.1 points to its kitty.
