Big FM widens lead margin in Bangalore

MUMBAI: While Mirchi strengthened its lead positions in Kolkata and Delhi, Big FM consolidated its lead position in Bangalore. Mumbai however stayed more or less the same as it has been for the last few weeks.

Bangalore: Big FM inched up 0.2 percentage points in week six, to end the week with a market share of 19.7 per cent, while Radio Mirchi slid 0.3 points to end the week with a share of 16.3 per cent. Fever too lost 0.3 points and finished third with a share of 15.4 per cent. Radio City managed to climb 0.3 points and came up fourth with a share of 12.7 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow was a major gainer, climbing 0.6 points to end with a share of 10.4 per cent of the Bangalore market.

Delhi: In the capital, Radio Mirchi strengthened its position, climbing 0.2 points to end the week with a market share of 24.8 per cent, while Fever at second position stayed at the same level it was last week, with a share of 18.7 per cent. AIR FM Gold at third position came up close with a share of 17.9 per cent. Red FM, Radio City and Big FM retained their respective market shares in single digits.

Kolkata: Mirchi upped its ante in Kolkata as well, climbing 0.1 percentage points to end with a share of 20.4 per cent, ahead of Big FM which lost 0.3 points to end with a share of 16.6 per cent. Friends FM, at third place, too lost 0.2 points and ended with a share of 13.4 per cent, ahead of Aamar which made strides, upping 0.5 points and bagging a market share of 10.6 per cent.

Mumbai: Mirchi remained unmoved at top spot with a share of 17.2 per cent, while Red FM and Radio City both lost 0.4 points and ended with shares of 14.5 and 13.2 per cent respectively. Fever at fourth position and AIR FM Gold at fifth both gained 0.1 points.
