Big FM leads with 17 per cent market share

MUMBAI: The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) has released data for the 43 week of the year 2014. On an average, retro station Big FM is leading overall with a market share of 17 per cent, followed by Radio Mirchi, Radio City and Fever FM.

Big FM's TSL (Time Spent Listening) is 5.4 per cent, which is 0.2 per cent higher than Fever FM, on an average across the four metro stations.

In Mumbai, Big FM is leading with a market share of 18.4 per cent, while Radio City is second on the table with 16.8 per cent. In Delhi, Fever FM holds the top spot with 20.4 per cent, and is followed by Radio Mirchi with 14.2 per cent. Radio City is ruling in Bengaluru with a share of 23.5 per cent while Big FM, which is in second position, has claimed 20.4 per cent. In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi is ahead of others.

The show 'Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor' is leading in Mumbai, and is followed by Radio City's morning show 'Kasa kai Mumbai with RJ Salil & RJ Archana'. In Delhi, five Fever FM shows- 'Dilli ke Do Dabang-Manu and Abhilash + Full on Punjabi - RJ Avinash', 'Evening Drive-Nitin', 'Zara Si Life-RJ Rhicha Vyas', 'Full on Punjabi - RJ Avinash' and 'Dilli ke Do Dabang-Manu and Abhilash', are the top five shows. Leading in Bangalore is Big FM's 'Big Coffee - RJ Shruti', while in Kolkata it is Radio Mirchi's 'Kaali Kotha - RJ Jaganath' and 'Breakfast Show - RJ Mir'.

From week 40 to 43 of 2014, Radio City's 'Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi - RJ Gaurav' held the first position in Mumbai, which was followed by Big FM's two shows-'Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor' and 'Breakfast Show - RJ Siddharth'.
