Big FM gains in B'lore, Kolkata and Mumbai

MUMBAI: In week 16, Mirchi slipped few points, yet maintained its lead in three cities. It was Big FM that gained considerable strides in this week. The station clocked better market shares in Kolkata as well as Mumbai, while maintaining status quo in Bangalore   

Bangalore - Big FM gained 0.1 points in Bangalore maintaining its numero uno position with a share of 19.5 percent, Mirchi and Fever both slipped with 0.4 points and 0.1 points to end with shares of 17.3 and 15.4 per cent respectively. Radio City inched with 0.4 points coming at fourth place followed by AIR Rainbow FM which in turn was followed by Radio One which lost 0.2 points with a market share of 8.7 per cent.

Delhi - In the capital, Radio Mirchi consolidated its position by adding 0.2 points and ending the week with a market share of 24.6 per cent. Fever in the second position lost 0.1 points with a  market share of 18.6 per cent. AIR FM Gold added 0.3 points followed by Red FM which gained 0.2 points with a share of 9.5 per cent. Radio City lost a significant 0.5 points.

Kolkata - Mirchi lost 0.1 points but held to its top position with a share of 20.2 per cent. Big FM made considerable strides by gaining 0.4 points and ending the week with market share of 17.6 per cent. Both Friends and Aamar slipped with 0.1 and 0.6 per cent to end with a market share of 11.7 and 10.8 per cent respectively. Red FM gained 0.1 points followed by Fever which gained a considerable 0.4 points. Radio One followed next gaining 0.2 points  

Mumbai - While Radio Mirchi continued to slip in week 16 as well, loosing 0.1 points with a share of 17 per cent, Red FM maintained a steady position with a share of 14.1 per cent. Radio City in the next position lost 0.1 points with a share of 13.5 per cent. Big saw a surge in its listnership with a gain of 0.5 points, coming fouth in the line. AIR FM Gold and Fever maintained their position followed by Radio One which lost 0.4 points.
