Bengaluru has highest TSL compared to other metros

MUMBAI: The Time Spent Listening (TSL) for Bengaluru is the highest amongst the metros, with a total of 21.31 hours per week. According to the RAM data for 48th week, other metros- Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai registered TSL of 13.57, 13.25 and 13.16 respectively.

In Bengaluru, Radio City had the highest TSL of 9.48 and market share of 24.2 per cent, which is followed by Big FM, AIR FM1, Radio Mirchi, and Fever FM with TSL of 8.09, 7.47, 7.27 and 6.51 respectively. Big FM holds second place in the city with a market share of 21 per cent and TARP of 2.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, Big FM's morning show 'Big Coffee - RJ Shruti' from 7 to 10 am topped the table with TARP of 6 per cent. Other shows that followed it were Radio City's 'City Mathu - RJ Rachna', Radio Mirchi's 'Hi Bengaluru - RJ Smitha' and then three more shows by Radio City.

In Kolkata, two Radio Mirchi shows 'Kaali Kotha - RJ Jaganath' and 'Breakfast Show - RJ Mir' have topped the top ten shows list in Kolkata with a TARP of 3.6 per cent and 3.1 per cent respectively. The third show doing well in the state is Big FM's 'Breakfast Show - RJ Khas Koushik' with TARP of 3 per cent. Other BIG FM shows that are doing well include 'Saranagato - RJ Sumanta', 'Raater Otithi - RJ Neel' and 'Chirodiner Sur - RJ Pamela'. Radio Mirchi also topped in Kolkata with a market share of 20.9 per cent and has registered TSL of 4.3 per cent, followed by Big FM with 17.2 per cent market share, TARP of 1.4 per cent and TSL of 5.2, which is the highest TSL in Kolkata. Following it was Oye FM with 10.2 per cent market share, TARP of 0.8 per cent and TSL of 3.4 per cent.

In Delhi, Fever FM ruled the week in terms of market share of 19.5 per cent and TSL of 5.15. Two of the station's shows- 'Full on Punjabi - RJ Avinash' and 'Evening Drive-Nitin' did well with TARP of 2.7 and 2.5 per cent. They were followed by Big FM's show 'Dilli Meri Jaan - RJ Deepak'and Fever FM's show 'Dilli ke Do Dabang-Manu and Abhilash' with TARP of 2.2 and 2 per cent, respectively. Delhi's public player -AIR FM2-Gold held second position with a market share of 16 per cent, TARP of 1.2 per cent and TSL of 5.05. Coming in third, fourth and fifth, were Radio City, Big FM and Radio City, with a market share of 13, 12.7 and 12.6 per cent, respectively.

In the financial capital, Radio City led the way with a market share of 19 per cent, TARP of 1.4 per cent and TSL of 5.52 per cent. The second station doing well in Mumbai was Big FM with a market share of 17.5 per cent, TARP of 1.3 per cent and TSL of 6.03. Rounding up the top five stations were Radio Mirchi, Fever FM and Red FM with a market share of 13.8, 12.5 and 12.1 per cent, respectively.

Although, the market share of the private players was higher than All India radio, the TSL for pubcaster- AIR FM2-Gold was the highest with 6.19 per cent. The top five shows in Mumbai include 'Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi - RJ Gaurav', 'Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor', 'Breakfast Show - RJ Siddharth', 'Kasa Kai Mumbai - RJ Archana and RJ Salil' and 'Hi Mumbai with Jeeturaj'.
