RAM Week 47: Big FM retained top spot in Mumbai; Radio City dominated in Bengaluru

MUMBAI: BIG FM retained its number one spot in the city of Mumbai with the highest share (18.9%) and second best T.S.L. (6.3). Radio City climbed up a spot with 16.5 percent share and a T.S.L. of 5.22 and finished at the second spot, replacing Fever FM. The best T.S.L. rating (6.55) did not help Fever FM’s ranking as its share of 15.6 was only third highest in the city.

The other stations regained their positions from last week, albeit with better share, except Oye! FM. Radio Mirchi had a 12.6 percent share, compared to 12 in the week 46. Red FM improved its share to 11.2 percent while Oye! FM managed 3.2 percent this week, compared to 3.5 in the previous week.

The top three rankings for week 47 in Delhi remained unchanged with Fever FM garnering 19.7 percent share, a 0.6 percent drop from week 46. Radio Mirchi and Big FM followed Fever FM in the rankings, with a fall in their respective shares compared to last week- 14.7 and 12.1 percent. Red FM beat its last week figures with a share of 10.9 percent and a T.S.L of 3.01.

The T.S.L. of Radio City (3.18) improved by 0.05, however with 10.3 percent share, Radio City finished below Red FM in week 47. Oye! FM (6.2 percent) and Hit FM (3.5 percent) retained their positions with a fall in share and T.S.L. of 2.46 and 2.05 respectively.

Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Fever FM retained the first three slots in Kolkata with shares of 18.7, 14.8 and 14.7 percent respectively. Fever FM, which finished third, collected the maximum T.S.L in the city with 5.31. Oye! FM missed the fourth spot by 0.5 percent, as Aamar FM held that spot with a 10 percent share. Further, the bottom three, like top three, remain unchanged as Red FM with 7.7 percent share, finished above Friends FM (5.5 percent share) and Power FM (2.4 percent share).

A fall by 0.6 percent compared to the last week did not prevent Radio City taking the top position in Bengaluru. With a 22.2 percent share, Radio City topped the T.S.L. ratings in the country at 10.08. The ranking remained the same for week 47, while Big FM improved its share (21.8 percent) and T.S.L. to retain second position. A 16.4 percent share and T.S.L. of 7.52 got Radio Mirchi to the third position, followed by Fever FM (14 percent share; T.S.L.- 8.43), Red FM (share- 5.7 percent; T.S.L.- 3.58). Radio Indigo maintained its share (1.9 percent) and position in the table, with a fall in T.S.L. from 2.52 in the previous week to 2.44.
